So this writing challenge (started here) did not pan out the way I had anticipated. For one, I do not have nearly enough time in the day, everyday, to produce a piece of writing that I feel is worthy to be posted. That being said, I did manage to do something of substance (even if a line or two) for 11 days out of the total 14 I was aiming for. That’s an A right?

So the exercise did more or less what it was intended to do – it got me thinking about writing. The continuous focus has lead to quite a few pieces prewritten in my mind. They haven’t made it to the keyboard yet but they’re there.

Overall, then, if not as successful a challenge, then at least a fruitful exercise in building a mental creativity inventory. Here’s hoping that the summer will provide more of an opportunity to convert this mental inventory into something of substance.
