I think we all just want to bring something new to the table. I’m writing this in the dark, and the keys on my macbook are sticking with memories and comically unforgiving. They memorize my words and read them back to me loud and unafraid, unblinking eyes staring that make me realize – there is so much said between the words. Hidden in the space separating sentences, we tuck away the things we actually mean.

I want this unity to be something others will take example from. A unity that dissipates hatred and makes room for understanding. A unity that tucks away hostility that has been stacked uncomfortably for decades.. the kind that always makes its way into our lives. We’ll tuck them away together, neatly into the corners of the room. Corners that become the space we learned to turn backs to, grab their edges and flip to a new page.
There is so much still left for us to learn
